People who’ve visited this blog between 0345 and 1100 today, Sunday October 15, may have been puzzled to find a post entitled ‘theworstdocumentintheworld’ that appeared to be an email from someone called lkkl to somone called Chad about their mobile phone business, employee reviews (particularly Matt’s review) and employee timesheets.
I was certainly puzzled, since it’s nothing to do with me!
I’m new at this blogging lark and, while I understand spam comments, I’ve never heard of spam posts — and it doesn’t look like spam, particularly; nothing to do with ring tones or online poker.
If anyone does understand, I’d be ever so interested to receive an email explaining it!
UPDATE: I’ve been puzzling about this, and all I can think of is that, a few days ago, I was playing round with a demo account on one of the Web 2 word processors — not Writely, but similar — which lets you post to your blog. I’d tried sending a couple of test posts to this blog when the Web 2 site crashed, thus leaving my account details somewhere in cyberspace.
Maybe someone else was having a play with the site’s demo account, tried to use it to send an email to his friend, and somehow managed to post it here instead. That could explain the strange title and some gibberish at the start of the email. It’s a possible explanation, anyway, so I’d better change my password.
