One minister who supports the Chancellor as the next leader said last night: “Brown and Miliband would be the dream ticket we need. “It would help heal the Blair-Brown split and would help us against Cameron because Miliband would speak to the younger generation of voters that the Tories are trying to reach.”
Well, I sometimes despair of young people today, too, but I can’t say I’m particularly pleased by Mr Eugenides’s revelation, either;
You’ll have to forgive me while I dry the tears from my eyes. Miliband “speak to the younger generation”? Miliband was the geeky kid you bullied in school. I bet even the chess team bullied him, sticking his face down the toilet and flushing with gusto because they knew they might never again in their lives encounter such a spineless, insignificant little twat.
Yes, I’m sure you thought it was all very amusing at the time, Eugenides Major, and doubtless it was; but the little brute’s gone and grown up now and all the rest of us have to live with the consequences of him taking out his resentment for being ragged by you older boys.
